Honkai Star Rail: Surprising Selection As Community’s Most Anticipated Character

It can be pretty intimidating to see so many new and upcoming characters in Honkai Star Rail, because they all seem incredibly powerful and look so dang cool! In the long term, deciding which ones to acquire is undoubtedly difficult.

However, by now, every player has most likely decided on their very favorite unit to spend their Stellar Jades on in the near or far future. (Mine is unquestionably Jingliu!)

But, if the community could choose the next new 5-Star, what would it actually want? 

Honkai Star Rail: The Most Anticipated Character in the Community

If you want to know what the Honkai Star Rail player base truly thinks about the game, there is only one place to go: Reddit, of course!

Reddit is one of the most lawless venues for gaming opinions, with brutally honest evaluations of every game’s deepest depths. A gacha game, such as Honkai Star Rail, creates countless heated conversations, especially on a platform like this.

On August 2, there was an unusual post that published just a few days ago. It is about the players’ preferences on a new character who should appear in the game. The only requirement is that this fictitious figure already exists in the game or its backstory!

To be honest, I assumed that the general consensus on the subject would be fairly clear. As I made my way to the comment section of this post, I was more than confident that there would be a slew of “Kafka” down there.

However, the most popular response astonished me greatly:

It goes without saying that this would be a fantastic character idea, especially because Herta has been one of the most story relevant troops throughout the entire game’s tale thus far.

Madam Herta – The Genius Society’s 83rd Member

The Herta we met at the start of the games isn’t actually her “final form.”

She even told us right away that the appearance she assumes while speaking to us is really a puppet meant to reflect her younger self.

Knowing Herta is a member of the Genius Society makes it clear that she cannot be the youngster her puppet portrays her to be. Others have described her as:

“I am Genius Society member number 83.” The true ruler of the space station. An extraordinarily bright but unfeeling scientist.”

As the human with the highest IQ on the globe, she only undertakes what she is interested in, abandoning projects as soon as she loses interest, resulting in a slew of projects that have been placed on hold since… forever?

Even if none of this screams for a welcoming new character, it might very well build the foundation of the “true” Herta! Herta herself constantly refers to her puppet while speaking about her, so it’s likely that her true form belongs to an entirely different route or element!

Personally, I’d be thrilled with a 5-Star Herta because I already adore her current incarnation. There is so much promise in a character like her, and given how much care HoYoverse has already put into her character and qualities, they could very well show us the true Herta one day!
