The Last of Us is finally making its way to PC. Exciting! You’ve certainly heard of the franchise recently thanks to the success of the TV series The Last of Us, but if that doesn’t mean anything to you, let me explain you why the Naughty Dog game is worth it.
Consider a gritty, gloomy film that makes you cry because you identify with the characters. Combine it with gameplay as great and refined as the Uncharted series or Red Dead Redemption 2, as well as graphics that outperform both. In a nutshell, that’s The Last of Us.
Of course, considering the game’s post-apocalyptic zombie setting, The Last of Us is rated R and not for the faint of heart: The game contains a lot of violent and even sexual stuff, but I can certainly declare that none of it is superfluous; everything is precisely as it should be.
The Last of Us for PC: Updates

For years, there have been rumours regarding a PC version of The Last of Us, so many gamers will have rejoiced when Sony formally confirmed the game’s availability as a remake for PC and PS5 during the Summer Game Fest 2022. Sony also released some trailers to advertise the imminent PC release, the most recent of which can be found further down.
The remake improves on the original in numerous ways, including improved graphics and updated gameplay. The remake will also contain the DLC Left Behind, which tells a prequel story cantered on Ellie.
The Last of Us for PC: When Will It Be Available?
The Last of Us was released for the PlayStation 5 on September 2, 2022. The Last of Us for PC was originally scheduled to be released on March 3, 2023, but Naughty Dog announced on Twitter that we will have to wait a little longer.
The PC version of The Last of Us is now scheduled for March 28, 2023… at the very least. Hopefully, these “additional few weeks will allow us [the developers] to ensure this version of The Last of Us lives up to your, and our standards”… which are very high, given their previous games.
Sony has long stated their intention to bring most, if not all, of its console-exclusives from PlayStation to PC. The argument is simple: more purchasers equal more money, and more satisfied gamers equal more brand awareness.
There’s no use in keeping games exclusive indefinitely these days, especially with current consoles being scarce and gamers dispersed over all platforms more than ever before.
