Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is set to be the highly-anticipated sequel to the acclaimed Yakuza: Like A Dragon game. Gamers and fans alike can mark their calendars for January 26th, 2024, as that’s when this exciting new installment is scheduled to hit the shelves.

Alongside this exciting news, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the creative minds behind the Yakuza series, has made a thrilling announcement regarding two new cast members who will be joining the Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth journey – Daniel Dae Kim and Danny Trejo. However, before you dive into the trailer for this upcoming game, it’s essential to note that it contains spoilers for both Yakuza: Like A Dragon and the forthcoming Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

The latest trailer, spanning an impressive ten minutes, unveils a gripping narrative that takes Ichiban out of his familiar Japanese turf and transports him to the stunning backdrop of Honolulu, Hawaii. Ichiban’s quest is to find his mother, but the journey is far from straightforward. In the wake of the events of the first game, many formidable adversaries seek to bring Ichiban down.

Fortunately, a familiar face emerges to offer a helping hand. This game introduces dual protagonists, with Ichiban leading the way and the iconic Kiryu Kazama making a triumphant return for one last battle of his own. Given the tone of the narrative, it appears that this may be Kiryu’s farewell to the franchise, making his appearance all the more significant, and many of his old allies make appearances as well.

The gameplay overview of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth showcases the breathtaking beauty of Honolulu. The combat system retains the turn-based approach introduced in Yakuza: Like A Dragon but adds a new dimension by allowing characters to utilize their environment strategically. Poundmates, an integral feature from the previous game, return to provide assistance during battles.

Additionally, a plethora of engaging minigames is back, offering players an array of entertaining diversions. Whether it’s Ichiban’s adventures as a food delivery guy in Crazy Delivery, Sujimon battles, or dating escapades in Miss Match, there’s something for everyone. Classic features like Karaoke also make their triumphant return.

Pre-orders for Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth are now available. Those who pre-order will receive enticing bonuses, including the Hero’s Booster Pack for accelerated leveling and the Special Job Set that introduces Linebacker and Tennis Ace. The game is set to launch on multiple platforms, including PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
