The official website for the upcoming Spy X Family movie made an exciting announcement on September 22, 2023, introducing two new cast members and their respective characters for the highly anticipated film, titled Code: White. This revelation came just a couple of weeks after a previous announcement that unveiled additional cast members and characters who will be part of the movie. Code: White is scheduled for its premiere later this year.

It’s important to note that the Spy x Family movie is an entirely original work, featuring a unique storyline. What sets this project apart is the heavy involvement of the original manga’s creator, Tatsuya Endo, who is not only the author but also the illustrator. While there is a strong belief among fans that the events in the film will be considered canon within the Spy x Family universe, no official confirmation of this has been provided.

As the late December 2023 premiere date for the Spy x Family movie draws nearer each week, excitement among fans continues to soar. They eagerly anticipate the film and look forward to the return of the mainline television anime series, which is set to kick off its highly anticipated second season on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in Japan.

The Spy x Family movie has added Hunter x Hunter’s Isaac Netero and Tokyo Revengers’ Makoto Suzuki to its cast, where they will take on antagonistic roles.

As previously mentioned, the upcoming Spy x Family movie has unveiled its two new cast members, Banjou Ginga and Sunsuka Takeuchi. In the film, Ginga will take on the role of Snijder, a colonel working for an intelligence agency dedicated to disrupting peace between the East and the West. Takeuchi, on the other hand, will portray Type F, a ruthless and unfeeling individual who commands Dimitri and Luka, showing an unwavering determination to accomplish his goals.

Notably, Tomoya Nakamura and Kento Kaku were earlier announced to play the roles of Dimitri and Luka, respectively, in the movie. All four of these characters are set to play antagonistic roles in the upcoming film. It’s worth mentioning that both the film’s storyline and these characters are entirely new additions to the Spy x Family franchise and have not previously appeared in the mainline series.

The film’s creative team is impressive, with the original creator, Endo, credited for the original work and character designs while also supervising the film’s production. Wit Studio and CloverWorks are responsible for the animation, including their work on the mainline anime series. Takashi Katagiri serves as the film’s director, with Ichiro Okouchi handling the scriptwriting duties.

Kazuaki Shimada takes on the role of character designer, while Kana Ishida is the sub-character designer. Kyoji Asano serves as the chief animation director and also created the film’s key visuals. Kazuhiro Furuhashi acts as the animation supervisor, and [K]NoW_NAME is credited as the film’s music producer, with Shoji Hata listed as the sound director. Japanese theaters will welcome the Spy x Family movie on Friday, December 22, 2023.
