In an attempt to keep up with the trends and appeal to a broader audience, Call of Duty is taking a page out of Fortnite’s playbook. The upcoming Halloween-themed season of Call of Duty will introduce skins inspired by various fictional universes, including some from Diablo 4 and other imaginative realms.
These new skins add a quirky twist to the typically serious and action-packed world of Call of Duty. Among the highlights are Lady Diablo Lilith, an enigmatic faceless angel named Inarius (not to be confused with Tyrael), Ash Williams from Evil Dead, the iconic Skeletor, and Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, voiced by the talented Keith David.
While some might find these additions unconventional, they fit the festive Halloween vibe and bring a dose of humor and creativity to the game. Importantly, players aren’t obliged to purchase these skins, and they will also carry over into the upcoming Modern Warfare 3.

The inclusion of these skins aligns with Activision’s cosmetic strategy, as seen in the now-closed Warzone 1, which featured bundles inspired by characters like John McClane, Leatherface, Ghost Face, and the titan from Attack on Titan.
While some players may have reservations about the increasing prominence of cosmetics in Call of Duty, it’s worth noting that these skins are of high quality and in line with the game’s overall aesthetics. They are far from the gaudy, graffiti-tagged, proto-NFT items seen in other games.
One positive aspect of this collaboration is that Keith David, known for his roles in movies like The Thing, They Live, and Pitch Black, is benefiting from it. So, whether you’re a fan of offbeat skins or classic movie performances, the upcoming Halloween-themed season of Call of Duty promises to offer something for everyone.
