Survival in Witchfire hinges on crafting healing elixirs; here’s how to unlock the Apothecary and create life-saving potions.
Witchfire, a challenging dark fantasy Rogue-lite game, demands resourcefulness from players as they navigate its perilous world. To thrive in this harrowing adventure, players must scavenge essential items throughout the game, such as the luminous Witchfire currency, collectibles, and herbs required for crafting healing potions.
However, at the outset of the game, players won’t have the ability to concoct these vital potions at the Apothecary. They must first advance their character to unlock this crucial feature.
Unlocking the Apothecary in Witchfire:

Upon starting the game, players will find the Apothecary room behind them when facing the portal leading to the world. However, any attempts to brew healing potions here will be futile as it remains locked initially. To gain the ability to craft healing elixirs during missions, players must level up their character to level two. Achieving this milestone necessitates venturing to the Scarlet Coast and amassing 3,500 units of Witchfire before returning through a portal.
Once 3,500 Witchfire have been amassed, players should proceed to the Ascension altar. Starting from the portal, players should turn away from it, move to the right, and ascend the stairs. At the top of the stairs, a doorway awaits, but players should not enter it. Instead, stand at the door’s edge and turn left, where the altar is situated. Players can choose any category to level up and finally unlock the Apothecary.
Collecting Herbs and Crafting Healing Potions in Witchfire:

Now that players have reached level 2, they can begin crafting potions. Interact with the Apothecary to commence the process. Depending on the number of herbs in the player’s possession, they can create one to four potions, although the exact number appears to be governed by RNG (random number generation). If more precise information becomes available on this mechanic, this article will be updated accordingly. Whenever players return to the hub world, their healing elixirs will automatically replenish from their stash if they have already crafted potions. Therefore, it’s advisable to visit the Apothecary only when additional potions are needed.

To procure more Angelica herbs in Witchfire, players must venture into the game world. These herbs resemble bright green spheres composed of smaller rounded flowers. While they may be somewhat challenging to spot initially, their distinct vibrant green color sets them apart from the surroundings. Once players become familiar with their appearance, they should have no difficulty locating these essential herbs in the future.
Please note that Witchfire is currently in Early Access for PC.
