In Baldur’s Gate 3, if you violate your oath as a Paladin, you risk becoming an Oathbreaker. This guide details the process of reclaiming your former status, including your skills and abilities.

While this guide focuses on the Order of the Ancients Oath Paladin, the reclamation process likely applies to other Paladin Oaths and similar mechanics for different classes. If you betray the principles of your oath and become an Oathbreaker, a new “Oath Broken” condition will appear on your character. This condition indicates that you will encounter an Oathbreaker Knight during your next rest at camp.
How to Reclaim Your Broken Oath in Baldur’s Gate 3:
When you speak with the Oathbreaker Knight, you’ll have two choices. You can either embrace the Oathbreaker path fully or attempt to repair your oath. To reclaim your original oath, choose this option during the conversation. Inform the knight of your desire to adhere to your oath once more. You will then need to pay 1,000 gold to restore everything. Surprisingly affordable, isn’t it?
After paying the fee, all your abilities and actions will be reinstated, allowing you to resume your adventures without further hindrance.
