Turn 10 actively worked to fix problems with how Forza Motorsport performed, bugs, and issues with how the graphics looked when the game was first released. But, the community has also taken it upon themselves to make the game look better and work better.
According to a Reddit post by Gabriel Corrêa, an apparent breakthrough was made regarding the enhancement of Forza Motorsport’s ray tracing capabilities. Corrêa revealed that even when set to Ultra, the game’s configuration still utilized low-definition textures, impacting the realism of reflections and the rendering of various elements, including wheels at high speeds. Through meticulous examination of configuration files, Corrêa highlighted multiple issues, subsequently implementing adjustments based on insights derived from other games such as FH5 and Assetto Corsa.
A review by Digital Foundry on Eurogamer pointed out that early previews and cinematic scenes in real time displayed larger ray-traced reflections than what players actually saw during regular gameplay. This disappointment was particularly notable among players using PC due to the game’s real time ray tracing.
In a more detailed exploration on YouTube, Corrêa showcased the improvements made to Forza Motorsport, emphasizing the refined reflections, textures, and wheels, showcasing a marked improvement over the initial state.

While community efforts to enhance the game’s performance are commendable, Turn 10 has also assured players of upcoming official patches. The studio aims to address various gameplay systems, implement quality of life improvements, and introduce monthly content updates to enrich the overall gaming experience.
Interestingly, initial promises of more comprehensive ray-tracing features, including Global Illumination, appeared to have fallen short, leading to speculations about potential future graphical updates to Forza Motorsport. Such developments mirror similar occurrences during the release of Forza Horizon 5, suggesting a pattern of iterative improvements to meet player expectations.
