In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players embark on an adventure across familiar locations from Breath of the Wild. While on the Great Sky Island, an early tutorial area, there are essential items and secrets players shouldn’t overlook.

First, players can find the Archaic Tunic to complete Link’s ensemble by exploring the tucked-away Pondside Cave near the Ukouh Shrine. Inside, they can collect Brightbloom Seeds, mine Giant Ore Veins, and acquire the Bubbul Gem from a Bubbulfrog by shooting it with an arrow.
In the Gutanbac Shrine, players receive the Ascension ability. To withstand the cold, they can find a Cooking Pot and Spicy Pepper bush, which, when used to cook, grant Link Cold Resistance. After the shrine, there’s an Archaic Warm Greaves chest located in a hollow tree trunk nearby.

Korok Seeds play a significant role in upgrading Link’s inventory, and 19 of them are hidden on the Great Sky Island. Players can find one near the Ukouh Shrine.
Exploring caves also reaps rewards. The Mining Cave, located in the Southern region of the island, contains valuable items like Brightbloom Seeds and Zonaite Deposits used for crafting. The Bottomless Cave features the Like Like enemy, a Flame Emitter, and more. The Pit Cave in the southeastern region provides Spicy Peppers and a Cooking Pot for cold Resistance food. Additionally, it contains a Bubbulfrog and Rare Ore Deposit for valuable gems.
