Hayao Miyazaki’s highly-anticipated film, “The Boy and the Heron” (also known as “How Do You Live?”), is set to make its debut in US theaters through GKIDS on December 8, with a newly-released English-dubbed trailer providing a first glimpse.
The film boasts a star-studded English cast, including Christian Bale as SHOICHI MAKI, Dave Bautista as THE PARAKEET KING, Gemma Chan as NATSUKO, and other notable actors like Willem Dafoe, Karen Fukuhara, Mark Hamill, Robert Pattinson, Florence Pugh, and more. Preview screenings are scheduled in New York and Los Angeles on November 22, ahead of the nationwide release.
GKIDS describes the film as a “semi-autobiographical fantasy” that explores themes of life, death, and creation while paying homage to the essence of friendship. “The Boy and the Heron” promises to take audiences on a unique journey, thanks to the creative genius of Hayao Miyazaki.
