World of Warcraft enthusiasts received a surprise treat as Blizzard quietly introduced two captivating transmogs inspired by the sword of Sargeras in the November Trading Post. In celebration of The War Within expansion announcement, the bonus rewards, Seetheras, Broadsword of the Sunderer, and Gorridar, Darkblade of the Sunderer, were discreetly added to the Trading Post catalog. These one- and two-handed swords draw inspiration from Sargeras’s iconic blade, prominently featured in The War Within trailer. Players can acquire these transmogs by completing their Traveler’s Log tasks for the month.

The sword of Sargeras, lacking an official name in World of Warcraft lore, was referred to as Gorribal in the non-canon tabletop roleplaying system. The names Seetheras and Gorridar nod to this old lore, hinting at potential revelations about the blade’s name, similar to Taeshalach’s transition from TTRPG to canon.

Players, particularly Death Knights, Warlocks, and Warriors, embraced the fearsome design, creating impressive outfits when paired with gear from Revendreth. The addition of these transmogs, along with the Cosmic Weapons Cache’s references to The War Within, has sparked speculation among fans about the potential storyline connections and teasers for the future of World of Warcraft.
