As Armored Core: Verdict Day and Dark Souls 2’s PS3 and Xbox 360 servers go offline, a significant chapter in online gaming draws to a close.

FromSoftware has confirmed the impending closure of online servers for Armored Core: Verdict Day, scheduled for Sunday, March 31, 2024. Released in 2013, this marks the end of the game’s online services over a decade after its launch. However, the shutdown doesn’t only affect Armored Core: Verdict Day.
Regrettably, March 31, 2024, spells the conclusion of online services for two FromSoftware titles. As Armored Core: Verdict Day concludes, Dark Souls 2’s online services for PS3 and Xbox 360 will also cease. Fortunately, players on PC, PS4, or Xbox One versions of Dark Souls 2 need not worry, as these platforms will retain their online functionalities.
While Dark Souls 2’s online experience persists on select platforms, Armored Core: Verdict Day’s fate is less fortunate. As it was never re-released or remastered for PC and with the impending shutdown of its PS3 and Xbox 360 servers, all online features, including World Mode, Mercenary features, Territory Customization, Ranking, and more, will become inaccessible post-March 31. Additionally, players will lose the ability to unlock all achievements/trophies, barring them from achieving full completion. They will also remove the Soldier Model DLC.
Services Ceasing on March 31 for Armored Core: Verdict Day:

- World Mode
- Mercenary features
- Territory Customisation
- Ranking
- Team Menus
- Other online features
- Some achievements/trophies
- Soldier Model DLC
While a significant portion of the Armored Core: Verdict Day experience will be affected, story missions will remain playable post-March 31. Players aiming for the complete experience should maximize their time with the game before the shutdown occurs.
Despite the server closures, Armored Core fans have the opportunity to explore a new experience in Armored Co-re 6: Fires of Rubicon. Acclaimed by critics and recently expanded with a ranked mode, this could be an opportune moment for fans to delve into the latest installment, especially with the impending closure of Verdict Day’s servers.
