A humorous bug in God of War Ragnarok’s Valhalla DLC seems to grant Mimir an unexpected ability, sparking amusement among players.

God of War Ragnarok’s Valhalla DLC brought free additional content to an already beloved game, but it seems it came with its share of quirky glitches. Among these, a particularly amusing one involved Mimir gaining an unintended new power, catching the attention of players within the gaming community.
One Reddit user, dazavstark,
Uploaded a video show casing this Valhalla DLC glitch. The footage showed Mimir rising independently and conversing with Kratos, an unexpected sight as he typically requires being held. However, the clip presented additional issues: the dialogue remained muted, with no voice from Freya or Mimir, while sound effects persisted. In response, dazavstark opted to exit to the main menu, hoping to resolve the issue.
It turns out dazavstark wasn’t alone in encountering this peculiar occurrence. Several Reddit users chimed in, sharing similar experiences. Some encountered the glitch upon their first death in the Valhalla DLC, while others struggled despite repeated console restarts. Interestingly, a few managed to view the cutscene after multiple attempts or resuming the game.
Santa Monica Studio,
The game’s developer, had released a post launch update aiming to rectify bugs within the Valhalla DLC. This included issues with textures, audio discrepancies during specific scenes, and instances of Kratos plummeting through the game world. This suggests that the show cased glitch might have been resolved post update.
While the Valhalla DLC introduced new content and experiences for players, the unintended entertainment sparked by Mimir’s new found “power” added an unexpected, humorous twist to the God of War Ragnarok experience.
