February 2024 Pokémon GO Community Day: Your Complete Guide to Chansey

Next month, Pokémon GO’s February 2024 Community Day will shine the spotlight on Chansey, the iconic Egg Pokémon. This special day promises an abundance of Chansey sightings in the wild and in raid battles, along with a host of enticing bonuses and evolution opportunities. Fans can also look forward to unique Community-Day themed Field Research and PokeStop Showcases. Here’s everything you need to know about the Chansey-centric Community Day this February.

Timing and Features of Chansey Community Day

Scheduled for Sunday, February 4th, 2024, the event will run from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During these hours, Chansey will frequently appear in the wild. Additionally, evolving Chansey during or up to five hours after the event will yield a Blissey that knows the Charged Attack Wild Charge.

Event Bonuses and Specials

Prepare for an array of bonuses during Chansey’s Community Day:

• Catching Pokémon yields double the Candy.
• Trainers level 31 and higher have a doubled chance of receiving Candy XL from catches.
• Incense, except for Daily Adventure Incense, will be effective for three hours when activated during the event.
• Happiny, the pre-evolution of Chansey, has a heightened chance of hatching from 2 km Eggs acquired on Community Day. These Happiny also share Chansey’s increased Shiny appearance rate.*
• Eggs in Incubators during the event will hatch at a quarter of the normal distance.
• Lure Modules will remain active for three hours.
• Engage in snapshot photography for surprises during Community Day.
• Enjoy 50% less Stardust cost for trades.
• Perform up to two Special Trades for the day.

Bonuses marked with ‘’ are active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time. Shiny Happiny will be more likely to hatch from 2 km eggs during this time.

Post-Community Day Raid Battles

Once the main three-hour Community Day event concludes, special four-star Raid Battles featuring Chansey will take place. Victorious Trainers will find Chansey spawning around the Gym for 30 minutes post-raid. These Chansey will maintain the same Shiny rates as those found during the main event. Note that these raids require Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes, with Remote Raid Passes not being applicable.
