Call of Duty: Warzone Introduces Limited-Time Mode with Covert Exfil and Weapons Case Features

Call of Duty: Warzone has unveiled a limited-time mode, Battle Royale Preview, introducing two new groundbreaking features: Covert Exfil and Weapons Case. Initially scheduled for Season 1 Reloaded update, these features experienced a delay due to a community response to Covert Exfil. Now, with the launch of the new limited-time mode, players can experience these features in action, providing a glimpse into potential additions to the standard battle royale mode.

In the Battle Royale Preview mode, available in the Quads format, players can access the Covert Exfil at buy stations for $30,000. This item allows them to make an early escape from the match, ideally carrying a Weapons Case. Only five Covert Exfils can be bought per match, and no further purchases are permitted after the Gulag closes. Each Battle Royale Preview match starts with a Weapons Case spawning randomly on map, its general location visible to all. Upon acquiring the Weapons Case, the player is marked on all enemies’ maps. Successfully exfilling with the Weapons Case provides the squad with exclusive rewards.

• First Covert Exfil with Wea-pons Case: After Party decal
• Second Covert Exfil with Wea-pons Case: Person of Interest decal
• Third Covert Exfil with Wea-pons Case: The Pursued decal
• Fourth Covert Exfil with Wea-pons Case: Behind the Mask sticker
• Fifth Covert Exfil with Wea-pons Case: Harrow MTZ-762 blueprint

After the fifth Weapons Case exfil, players continue to earn a 15-minute double weapon XP token with each successful escape.

In addition to the limited-time mode, Warzone has announced the return of Fortune’s Keep on February 7, featuring redesigned Points of Interest (POIs) and extendable bridges. Later in Season 2, the return of the PDS Field Upgrade will enable players to temporarily become invulnerable to gas.
