The PDS Field Upgrade makes a return in Call of Duty: Warzone, marking its comeback since 2022. With the Season 2 update scheduled for release on February 7th, eager fans will need to exercise a bit of patience before accessing the PDS once again. Developers Raven Software teased the reintroduction of this sought-after upgrade.

PDS Field Upgrade Overview:
The Portable Decontamination Station (PDS) is a valuable Field Upgrade in Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. This feature allows players to deploy a PDS, offering protection from the gas or circle collapse for a brief period. The PDS operates for 20 seconds before getting destroyed, and a white ring around it designates a safe area with clean air. However, enemy squads can eliminate the PDS, emphasizing the importance of strategic placement. Combining the Irradiated Perk with PDS and gas masks enables players to leverage the gas as a weapon without firing a bullet. Originally introduced in Warzone Pacific Season Two in 2022, the PDS Field Upgrade is exclusive to Warzone 2.0.
They haven’t given us a specific launch date for the PDS in the current season, but they’re thinking it’ll drop “later into the season.”
What to Expect in Warzone Season 2:
Warzone Season 2 introduces the Fortune’s Keep map, a notable addition to the game. Numerous Call of Duty: Warzone influencers have received official packages, strongly implying the return of this map.
Excitingly, fans can anticipate a crossover between Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 and The Walking Dead. Confirming earlier leaks, Call of Duty has officially announced that MW3 and Warzone will feature Rick Grimes as an Operator in Season 2.
