Hidden within a remote corner of Fellhorn Gorge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s new expansion, The Teal Mask, lies an area that harbors some remarkable discoveries for Magikarp enthusiasts. While the expansion doesn’t introduce an abundance of secrets, it does offer a unique opportunity for players seeking the most powerful Magikarp.

This secluded area, nestled between two narrow strips of land, forms a small pond-like spot that often goes unnoticed by casual explorers. However, for those with a passion for Magikarp, it’s a hidden gem worth discovering.

Within this modest expanse, players can encounter a range of Water and Flying-type Pokémon, with most hovering between levels 60 and 75. Yet, one particular discovery stands out among the rest. As reports on Reddit have surfaced regarding a lucky player stumbling upon a level 100 Shiny Magikarp in this location, I decided to investigate for myself.

While I didn’t come across a Shiny Magikarp, I did indeed find a level 100 Magikarp flopping about on the small piece of land that separates it from the main water source in the gorge. The discovery left me pondering whether this remarkable level 100 Magikarp is a guaranteed encounter or if it might reappear intermittently.
Despite my efforts to retrace my steps and trigger additional encounters, I only encountered Magikarp ranging from levels 50 to 70, along with some formidable Gyarados and Drednaw. Therefore, the mystery of whether this level 100 Magikarp is a consistent presence or an occasional visitor remains unsolved.
