2. Ensure that all the creatures (Fauna) on the planet are scanned with the Hand Scanner.
3. Check that the creature you want to raise has the “Outpost Production Allowed” descriptor in its Hand Scanner info.
4. Invest Skill Points into Zoology, Botany (optional), and at least one rank in Outpost Engineering.
5. Gather the necessary resources, including a Greenhouse, Animal Husbandry Facility, Power Sources, Solid Storage Container, and Water Extractors.

Once you’ve met these conditions, you can begin building your own Alien farmyard.

How to Set Up an Animal Husbandry Facility

Setting up an Animal Husbandry Facility involves providing it with power, water, and fiber. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

1. Place two Water Extractors, one Animal Husbandry Facility, one Greenhouse, one Solid Storage Container, and any required Power Sources.
2. Connect one Water Extractor to the Greenhouse using the Build Menu UI’s “Create Output Link” option.
3. Connect the Greenhouse to the Solid Storage Container through an Output Link.
4. Connect the second Water Extractor to the Animal Husbandry Facility with an Output Link.
5. Connect the Solid Storage Container to the Animal Husbandry Facility using an Output Link.
6. Use the console near the Greenhouse’s entrance to select the lifeform that produces Fiber as the desired resource.

With this setup, your Greenhouse will generate Fiber, which will automatically transfer to the Storage Container. From there, it will be sent to the Animal Husbandry Facility, along with water from the Water Extractor.
