ADK Emotions NY Inc. and Tomy Company, Ltd.’s subsidiary, T-Licensing Inc., have jointly announced that the upcoming television anime adaptation of Takara Tomy’s Beyblade X project will have a global “broadcast” release outside of Asia in 2024. This significant move comes as these entities actively promote the franchise at the New York Toy Fair 2023, underscoring their role in spearheading a comprehensive worldwide licensing program for the brand.

Moreover, discussions are underway for non-toy licensing categories, including apparel, back-to-school supplies, party goods, food/snacks, literary publishing, quick-service restaurant promotions, collectibles, gaming ventures, and innovative apps.
The highly anticipated Beyblade X anime is set to premiere in Japan on October 6, airing on TV Tokyo and its affiliates. The cast boasts talented individuals such as Sōma Saitō as X Kurosu, Shūichirō Umeda as Bird Kazami, and Ruriko Noguchi as Multi Nanairo.
Notably, Katsuhito Akiyama, a seasoned Beyblade series expert, takes on the role of chief director for the anime production. Meanwhile, Sotsu Terada, known for his work on Beyblade Burst Turbo and Beyblade Burst GT, serves as the director at OLM. Hikaru Muno, acclaimed for his contributions to High Card, contributes to the original series concept and scenario assistance.
In terms of series scripts, Kazuho Hyodo, known for works like ReLIFE, Kiratto Pri☆Chan, and TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You, plays a key role. The original character designs by Posuka Demizu, renowned for The Promised Neverland, are seamlessly adapted for animation by Yoshihiro Nagamori, celebrated for his work on Beyblade: V-Force, Beyblade: Metal Fusion, and Beyblade: Shogun Steel.
The Beyblade X project was introduced by Takara Tomy in March as the “4th generation” installment in the iconic franchise, following the footsteps of the original 1999 Beyblade (Bakuten Shoot Beyblade), 2008’s Beyblade: Metal Fusion (Metal Fight Beyblade), and 2015’s Beyblade Burst.
It’s worth noting that Beyblade Burst QuadStrike, the franchise’s seventh and latest season, made its debut on Disney XD on April 3 at 3:00 p.m. EDT and subsequently on Hulu on May 8 in the United States. The series consists of 26 episodes, each lasting 22 minutes, and is also available for streaming on YouTube after its U.S. premieres. The anime has expanded its reach through additional regional broadcast partnerships.
