In Marvel’s highly-anticipated Spider-Man 2, fans are in for a thrilling ride as the game introduces exciting new features. For the first time in the series, players will control and switch between two protagonists: Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Alongside these iconic heroes, a new formidable villain, Kraven the Hunter, emerges, and the space symbiote Venom makes a chilling return.

The game takes a dark turn as Peter Parker dons the black symbiote suit, enhancing his powers but also making him more aggressive. However, Venom, who appears physically imposing, poses a greater challenge, leading to speculation about who is truly behind the mask.

Traditionally, Venom starts as a villain before bonding with Peter Parker. Yet, the size and strength disparity between Peter and Venom in the game’s CGI footage have fans pondering Venom’s true identity. Notably, Peter is not seen in his black suit during the trailer, suggesting he may acquire symbiote powers after battling Venom.

During the Summer Game Fest, the game’s Creative Director, Bryan Intihar, confirmed that Eddie Brock, Venom’s traditional alter ego, would not be the symbiote’s host this time. This revelation, coupled with the promise of an original story not found in comics or movies, has fueled speculations about Venom’s identity.

As the game’s release date approaches on October 20th, exclusively for the PlayStation 5, fans eagerly await the unveiling of the enigmatic Venom’s true face.
