EA Sports has rebranded its long-running FIFA franchise as EA Sports FC 24, ushering in a new era for the beloved football gaming series. This installment introduces significant changes, including revamped game modes, enhanced graphics, and improved movement mechanics via technologies like Hypermotion V and Sapien Tech.

The game is available on both older-gen (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) and current-gen (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S) consoles, with some notable differences between the two.

Both console generations offer the same core gameplay experience, including early access for pre-order customers and crossplay support limited to PS4 and Xbox One users. Additionally, FUT (FIFA Ultimate Team) transfer markets are consistent across their respective console families.

However, the current-gen consoles outshine their older counterparts in terms of graphical fidelity, offering higher resolutions, faster loading times, smoother animations, advanced lighting, and improved game physics. They can maintain 60 FPS at 4K, thanks to superior hardware and SSDs for rapid data transfer.

Furthermore, crossplay is extended to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC players, while exclusive technologies like Hypermotion V, AcceleRATE 2.0, and PlayStyles are absent on older-gen consoles.

The game’s pricing remains consistent across both generations, with the Standard edition costing $69.99 and the Ultimate edition priced at $99.99. Casual players content with graphical disparities may enjoy EA Sports FC 24 on older consoles, with the option to upgrade later for free. Hardcore fans, however, will appreciate the technological advancements and exclusive features offered by the current-gen consoles, making the upgrade worthwhile.
