The official Twitter account for the television anime adaptation of Satoru Nii’s manga “Wind Breaker” announced on Tuesday that Kouki Uchiyama will play Kyо̄tarо̄ Sugishita. Additionally, Yūma Uchida is set to star as Haruka Sakura. CloverWorks will be responsible for producing the animation.
Kodansha USA Publishing has licensed the manga and has been digitally releasing it in English since spring 2022, with print versions now available. The manga is described as an adrenaline-filled story set in a high school for delinquents turned heroes, where a new, determined student arrives with ambitions to become the strongest. This action-packed narrative is sure to appeal to fans of “Tokyo Revengers” and similar stories centered around high school delinquents.
Nii’s “Wind Breaker” manga first premiered on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app in January 2021, with the 13th compiled book volume released on August 8. Notably, the manga secured the 9th spot in AnimeJapan’s 2022 list of “Manga We Want To See Animated.”
