Starfield players have uncovered an incredibly powerful build centered around the Advanced Va’ruun Inflictor rifle, which can deal staggering damage. House Va’ruun, a mysterious religious faction in Starfield, is yet to be fully explored in the game. However, Va’ruun zealots can be found scattered throughout the Settled Systems, providing players with unique Va’ruun weapons. These weapons include the Painblade knife, Starshard pistol, and the Inflictor rifle, which is a Particle Beam weapon, and can be further enhanced with various perks.

The highlighted build by SaltyMeatBoy maximizes the Va’ruun Inflictor’s damage potential. It benefits from Laser and Particle Beam perks in the combat skill tree, Rifle Certification, and Marksmanship and Sniper Certification for headshots, staggering, and critical hit bonuses. The Va’ruun Inflictor’s base damage is formidable, and with the right mods, it becomes a formidable weapon. Players can attach a Spread Nozzle to the rifle, splitting the main beam into three beams, each with its own chance to crit. If one beam lands a critical hit, the other two automatically stagger the enemy.

This build showcases the potent synergy between various perks, turning the Va’ruun Inflictor into a game-breaking weapon. While Starfield doesn’t currently offer a dedicated Va’ruun shotgun, players hope that future DLC will expand the game’s arsenal. This build allows players to wreak havoc with a stagger-critical hit combo, making it a top choice for late-game encounters in Starfield.
