Mantic Games, the renowned studio known for their popular miniature wargames like Kings of War, Firefight, and Deadzone, has exciting news for tabletop gaming enthusiasts. They recently announced their plans for a new Kickstarter campaign set to launch next year, aiming to bring an epic-scale version of their Warpath game to the market.

Originally, Warpath was designed to be a bigger version of the Firefight system, meant for large battles with many vehicles, similar to Warhammer 40,000’s Apocalypse. However, the Mantic team saw the opportunity to make Warpath smaller in scale, letting players have really big armies on their tabletops.
Beginning work on the game, the team delved into considerations such as factions, materials, and rules, even providing a sneak peek of the in-progress Warpath rulebook for avid rule enthusiasts.
In August of this year, Mantic sought the opinions of their fans, particularly considering the rumors about Games Workshop’s potential return to an Epic-scale game. Thousands of enthusiastic responses confirmed a strong interest in the Warpath universe at a smaller scale, solidifying the studio’s confidence in the project.
To keep abreast of updates and be notified when the campaign goes live, interested individuals can already follow the campaign page on Kickstarter. Mantic Games has been experiencing a successful streak, with the latest Firefight version receiving positive feedback, Kings of War gaining recognition as one of the premier rank-and-flank games, and a series of prosperous Kickstarters, including projects such as Hellboy, Umbrella Academy, Terrain Crate offerings, and Dungeon Saga Origins.
Anticipation is high for the upcoming Warpath game, with hopes that it will culminate into a well-crafted final product, offering fans of smaller-scale wargames a new outlet to showcase their tactical prowess and painting skills.
