In the world of Starfield, Chlorine (Cl) is a vital inorganic gaseous resource used for a multitude of purposes, from pharmaceutical research to crafting items and upgrading materials. However, harvesting Chlorine poses a unique challenge due to its toxic nature, which can inflict lung damage. This guide offers insight into safe and efficient methods for obtaining Chlorine.

Chlorine can be acquired in three primary ways: direct collection from Chlorine vents, purchase from merchants, or extraction using mining tools. Collecting Chlorine directly from vents is the riskiest method, as it exposes players to environmental harm.

For a cost of six Credits, players can purchase ready-to-use Chlorine from resource vendors, with reliable sources found at Midtown Minerals in Akila City and the Mining League in Neon.

To amass Chlorine in substantial quantities, players should construct Chlorine Extractors on Chlorine-rich planets by setting up an Outpost and linking power sources to these extractors. This method enables passive Chlorine production without direct interaction with vents. Gagarin in the Alpha Centauri system is an optimal location for Chlorine farming, while other Chlorine-rich planets include Beta Andraste l-b in the Beta Andraste system and Bel III in the Bel system.

With these methods, players can secure Chlorine for their in-game endeavors while minimizing the risks associated with direct collection from vents.
