Netflix has announced the highly-anticipated premiere date for the My Daemon animated series, set to debut on November 23. This news comes alongside the release of a captivating visual for the series, providing fans with a sneak peek of what’s to come.
The series is penned by Hidetaka Adachi, who is also known as Otsuichi, a renowned writer recognized for exceptional works such as Exception, Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror, and Summer Ghost. This animated series is in development at IGLOO STUDIO, a prominent Thai animation studio. Overseeing the direction of the series is Nat Yoswatananont.
My Daemon is set in the not-so-distant future, where the narrative unfurls following a nuclear explosion, causing a momentary overlap between Earth and Hell. This cataclysmic event leads to the proliferation of pollution emanating from Hell-originated dust. Amid this intriguing backdrop, a young elementary student named Kento stumbles upon a daemon named Anna in the forest. Kento takes on the responsibility of caring for Anna, and their journey unfolds as they set out to rescue Kento’s mother.
