Rockstar Delivers 60 FPS Support to Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare on PS5

PlayStation 5 owners can now enjoy enhanced performance in the classic titles from Rockstar Games.

Rockstar Games has responded to the desires of PlayStation 5 players by updating Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare DLC with 60 frames per second (FPS) support. Previously, both titles were made available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in August, but were limited to 30 FPS on the PS5. This decision left PS5 owners wondering whether Rockstar would utilize the full potential of the current-gen console. After weeks of anticipation, the developer surprised fans by releasing the update, which includes a 60 FPS option for both titles, improving the gaming experience.

Update Details:

The update not only brings an increase in FPS but also introduces a user-friendly option to enable subtitles when starting the game for the first time. In addition to these enhancements, the update contains various general bug fixes and improvements, although specific details were not provided by Rockstar.

Future Hopes:

While fans of Red Dead Redemption are celebrating the newfound smoothness of gameplay on the PS5, there is still hope for similar enhancements to other titles in the series. Players are eagerly awaiting news of 60 FPS support for Red Dead Redemption II on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Additionally, many are eager to see this performance boost extended to Red Dead Redemption on the Xbox Series X/S.
