World of Warcraft has introduced universal Dragonriding unlocks for the Eastern Kingdoms Cup, enabling players from level 30 to participate in these old-world race events without requiring a max-level character. Lasting until October 17, this tournament spans 14 races across the Eastern Kingdoms, allowing lower-level characters to engage in normal, Advanced, and Reverse courses to earn Riders of Azeroth badges. These badges can be exchanged in Valdrakken, Stormwind, or Orgrimmar for a transmog set or unique Dragonriding drake customizations.

Typically, unlocking Dragonriding abilities necessitates obtaining glyphs on the Dragon Isles in Dragonflight, a feat unattainable for players below level 70. However, a temporary change grants all Dragonriding abilities for the duration of these races, confirmed by World of Warcraft’s senior gameplay software engineer, Karazaa.
The recent inclusion of NPCs in Orgrimmar and Stormwind facilitates badge collection for lower-level players, allowing even newcomers to conquer these challenging courses, although achieving Gold on every race requires all glyphs.
Future events in Outland, Northrend, Pandaria, and the Broken Isles have been revealed on the Public Test Realm. With the prospect of the dynamic flying system expanding across the game soon, these old-world Dragonriding events might return, possibly becoming permanent. Fans eagerly await potential updates on Dragonriding, possibly at BlizzCon, coinciding with the anticipated announcement of the next World of Warcraft expansion.
