Pokemon Enthusiast Creates Imaginative New Creatures with ‘Gourmet’ and ‘Sound’ Types

Discover the creative world of Pokemon fan-made designs featuring innovative Gourmet and Sound types, introducing six unique creatures into the Pokemon universe.

In a display of creativity within the Pokemon community, a talented fan known as MonsieurMidnight has envisioned six novel creatures belonging to two new types: Gourmet and Sound. These imaginative designs, not officially recognized in the games, showcase the community’s ability to expand the Pokemon universe through unique concepts and artwork.

The latest mainline Pokemon games, Scarlet and Violet, currently encompass 18 different types, with the most recent additions being Dark and Steel in Generation 2, and Fairy in Generation 4. With no new types introduced in recent games, fans have taken it upon themselves to invent new types and explore uncharted territory in the world of Pokemon.

MonsieurMidnight’s creations delve into the Gourmet and Sound types, giving birth to Deliceon, Drangerine, Kalosian Appletun, Vibreon, Doremawfasol, and Aristoslash. The Gourmet-type Pokemon draw inspiration from various delectable foods, while the Sound-type creatures are inspired by musical instruments and rave parties. Noteworthy designs include Drangerine, a Dragon/Gourmet-type resembling a Dratini inside a tangerine, and Doremawfasol, a Ghost/Sound-type reminiscent of a piano monster inspired by Super Mario 64.

Interestingly, MonsieurMidnight also introduced new evolutions for Eevee, a beloved Pokemon known for its diverse evolutionary paths. Deliceon, resembling a Dachshund dog made of creamy dessert, and Vibreon, an Eeveelution with techno glasses and crystal features, add a refreshing twist to the roster of Eeveelutions.

This fan-made initiative follows previous endeavors within the Pokemon community, including Halloween-inspired Eeveelutions featuring alternative types. Examples such as Spookeon, a Scary-type Eeveelution resembling a ghost, and Vampeon, a Monster-type inspired by vampires, showcase the creativity and passion of Pokemon fans in expanding the Pokemon universe.
