In the latest Patch 10.2 for World of Warcraft, players uncovered new character models featuring the iconic glowing eyes of the Dragon Aspects that were prevalent during Cataclysm. This discovery has led to speculation that the game might be gearing up to restore their lost Aspectral powers in an upcoming update.

The Aspectral powers of the dragon leaders – Alexstrasza, Nozdormu, Ysera, and Kalecgos – were relinquished during Cataclysm to thwart Deathwing. Dragonflight’s primary focus has been aiding these Aspects in reclaiming their powers. Models from the Patch 10.2 Public Test Realm reveal updated appearances of the Aspects and the new additions Ebyssian and Merithra, showcasing the characteristic eye glow lost after Cataclysm. These updates imply the potential return of their full powers in the upcoming World of Warcraft patch.
Despite the absence of eye glow on the visage models for Ebyssian and Merithra, this could be due to ongoing development of their humanoid forms. Notably, new files indicate the Black Dragonflight Aspect received an updated model, fueling speculation about changes for Merithra too.
Additionally, a spell named The Great Dragons found in the World of Warcraft PTR suggests a potential blessing for Vyranoth, the recent ally of the protagonists. However, her eyes already display a similar glow, and no new models are linked to her.
Although these findings are not currently implemented in the game, they imply significant narrative developments in the Dragonflight storyline. The patch introduces Guardians of the Dream, setting the stage for a monumental confrontation between the Aspects and Fyrakk in an attempt to control the World Tree Amirdrassil.
The community awaits further details on whether Patch 10.2 concludes the Dragonflight narrative, anticipating substantial plot twists in the epic saga.
