Following the Indigo Disk release, Game Freak extends gratitude to players with valuable in-game rewards in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

In celebration of the recent launch of the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Game Freak offers players three sets of in-game rewards. It has been over a year since the initial release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, with the recent DLC unveiling two parts: Teal Mask, launched in mid-September, and Indigo Disk, recently released in mid-December.
The Teal Mask and Indigo Disk expansions introduced a combined total of 14 new Pokemon to the Scarlet and Violet universe. These additions have prolonged the gameplay experience and allowed players to expand their roster significantly.
To further engage and reward the player community, Game Freak initiated three item distribution events. Via a weekly newsletter in Japan, two codes were dispersed randomly among subscribers but are now available to all. Enter code SUPEREFFECT1VE to obtain an Expert Belt and G0TCHAP0KEM0N for 30 Quick Balls. These codes remain active until February 28, 2025. Additionally, 10 TM223, teaching the Metal Sound move, are accessible as a Mystery Gift over the internet.
December 2023 Mystery Gift Codes for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:
- Code SUPEREFFECT1VE grants one Expert Belt.
- Code G0TCHAP0KEM0N grants 30 Quick Balls.
- Selecting Via the Internet in the Mystery Gift menu grants 10 TM223 (Metal Sound).
According to Serebii, Game Freak opted to distribute Metal Sound TMs due to Shieldon’s exclusivity to Pokemon Violet, essential for crafting this TM. A future patch is expected in mid-January to modify the TM crafting recipe. Until then, the Metal Sound TM is available as a Mystery Gift.
Players can claim these Mystery Gifts in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet by visiting the Poke Portal, selecting the Mystery Gift option, and choosing Get via Internet or Get with Code. Players can only access Expert Belts and Quick Balls through code input, while obtaining Metal Sound TMs requires internet.
