A player, after 200 hours in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, discovers a hidden feature, revealing the game’s depth.

A dedicated Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty player recently made an intriguing discovery after investing 200 hours into the game’s first and only DLC. The revelation involves the ability to enter Dogtown on foot, a feature that seems to have eluded many players, leading to a surge of interest and discussions on social media.

Warning! Minor gameplay spoiler for the early stages of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty ahead.

The Dogtown border crossing, initially sealed during the early phases of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, requires players to access the DLC area through a linear map section introduced in the Dog Eat Dog quest. The game’s initial restrictions on Dogtown access are lifted later, allowing seamless movement between it and Night City. Reddit user Jazzlike-Fee-3493 garnered attention by posting a video showcasing their 200-hour journey to this revelation.

The video garnered significant upvotes on the game’s subreddit, suggesting that many players, like Jazzlike-Fee-3493, were unaware of this intriguing feature. Beyond walking over the border, players can also drive into Dogtown using the road to the immediate left of Jazzlike-Fee-3493’s path in the video. After wrapping up the Dog Eat Dog gig, walking and driving paths unlock in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

It’s worth noting that driving into Dogtown has a unique condition—it requires the use of a civilian vehicle. Crossing the border in an NCPD car prompts a holographic warning, illustrating Dogtown’s lawlessness predating Cyberpunk 2077.

Though Dog Eat Dog’s completion doesn’t outright announce the border’s opening, the game subtly hints via Vehicle Contracts. Completing these contracts eventually leads players to cross into Dogtown, subtly introducing the available route.

The discovery showcases the depth and intricacies present in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, even after extensive playtime. The game continues to surprise and engage players with hidden features, contributing to the richness of the overall experience.
