Reports suggest that AMD’s impending graphics card, the Radeon RX 7600 XT, might offer double the VRAM compared to the current RX 7600 models.

Recent sources indicate that AMD’s next-gen graphics cards could potentially offer an impressive 16GB of VRAM. These reports stemmed from a SKU listing that circulated on social media, hinting at a beefed-up version of the rumored Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card. This card, yet to be officially unveiled by AMD, is anticipated to receive this substantial upgrade.
Late December 2023 saw SKU filings hinting at Artek, a China-based manufacturer, developing Radeon RX 7600 XT and others. While these filings hinted at potential midrange GPUs from AMD, it remains uncertain if these cards will indeed hit the market or when.
In late December, Gigabyte listed the Radeon RX 7600 XT with 16GB of VRAM on the Eurasian Economic Commission. This marks a doubling of the VRAM found in the RX 7600, a GPU targeted at budget-conscious gamers looking for 1080p gaming experiences. Gigabyte, renowned for gaming peripherals and motherboards, filed standard and overclocked Radeon RX 7600 XT versions.

Social media discussions compare Radeon RX 7600 XT to Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti, both available in 8GB and 16GB SKUs. Nvidia’s 16GB version faced criticism after release due to limited memory bandwidth despite its enhanced VRAM capacity. The memory bandwidth of the 7600 XT was not detailed in Gigabyte’s filing.
The Radeon RX 7600 has been retailing from $269 onwards, suggesting that the Radeon RX 7600 XT might target a similar price range. If released in 2024, the 7600 XT could potentially become a sought-after AMD card among consumers seeking enhanced performance.
