Players of Call of Duty Warzone, known for its variety of modes including the popular Plunder, recently encountered a change in their gaming experience. Plunder, a favorite for its more relaxed style compared to other intense modes, was unexpectedly absent from this week’s playlist, leaving players puzzled about its status in Warzone.

Is Plunder still available in Warzone?
Currently, Plunder is not an option in Warzone’s gaming modes.
The update regarding Lockdown temporarily replacing it was shared on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, by Raven Software.
When will Plunder return in Warzone Season 1?
As of now, Raven Software hasn’t provided a specific date for Plunder’s return to Warzone. With the upcoming playlist update scheduled for January 11th, it remains uncertain whether Plunder will make a comeback then. Presently, players can engage in Battle Royale, Resurgence, and Lockdown.
Understanding the Plunder Mode in Warzone: Introduced at Warzone’s launch and reappearing in Warzone 2.0 on April 26, 2023, during Season Three of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Plunder offers an innovative approach to the traditional battle royale format. In this mode, teams race to accumulate a million in cash, a different objective from the usual survival goal. Plunder features unlimited respawns and allows players to use their custom loadouts and Field Upgrades.
Players can gather cash by looting Supply Boxes, completing Contracts, or eliminating opponents, who drop a part of their cash upon defeat. Periodic Cash Drops, each containing $100,000, also provide lucrative opportunities.
Teams that hold significant amounts of cash are indicated by a red bag, and the top squad is signified by a red crown. Players can secure their earnings using Cash Deposit Balloons, available through Supply Boxes or Buy Stations.
Reaching the million-dollar mark triggers a 4-minute overtime, during which all cash gains are automatically banked and increased by a 1.5x multiplier, adding a final intense phase to the matches.
