Unlocking Exclusive Coach Trades in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Post-Indigo Disk DLC Guide

After completing the main storyline of the Indigo Disk DLC in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players unlock a unique feature: the ability to trade with almost every major character in the game. This includes Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, and your friends. These trades are not only a great way to remember your journey but also provide access to rare and special Pokemon.

Special Marks and Rare Pokemon: The Rewards of Coach Trades

Each Pokemon obtained through these trades bears a special mark, displaying the name of the character who gave it to you during battles. Beyond their sentimental value, these Pokemon often come with unique abilities, moves, and Tera Types, making them valuable additions to any collection.

Unlocking Coach Trades: A Step-by-Step Process

The opportunity to call special coaches for 200 BP opens up immediately after you finish the Indigo Disk DLC. Initially, only a limited number of characters are available for trades.

Expanding Your Trading Circle: Meeting More Coaches

As you progress with your trades, more characters become available:

  • After three trades, Clavell and other Naranja or Uva Academy staff will appear, provided you’ve completed their respective sidequests.
  • Elite Four members Rika and Poppy are available after five trades.
  • After eight trades, you can trade with Geeta.
  • Cyrano becomes accessible after ten trades and defeating him in a special battle at Blueberry Academy.
