Studio Pierrot recently dropped an exciting promotional trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of “Karasu wa Aruji o Erabanai, derived from Chisato Abe’s Yatagarasu novels. This trailer introduces the main voice cast and unveils essential details about the project. Set to debut on NHK in April 2024, the anime promises a captivating narrative rooted in fantasy.

The animation powerhouse, Studio Pierrot, renowned for iconic series like Naruto and Bleach, takes the helm of this production. Mutsumi Tamura lends voice to the character Yukiya, while Miyu Irino skillfully portrays the Imperial Prince, also known as Wakamiya.

Key creatives driving the project include Yoshiaki Kyougoku as the director, Yukiko Yamamuro as the scriptwriter, Takumo Norita as the character designer, Eishi Segawa as the music composer, and Yuji Tange as the sound director. NHK, NHK Enterprises, and Pierrot join forces as producers for this highly anticipated anime.

Set in Yamauchi, a parallel world resembling Heian-era Japan, the story revolves around Yatagarasu, enigmatic crow-like beings with transformative powers. Yukiya, a young Yatagarasu, serves as the personal attendant to the Unusual Crown Prince Wakamiya. Amid conspiracies and power struggles, Yukiya finds himself embroiled in a plot to overthrow the heir to the Imperial throne.

Stay tuned for more updates on this captivating anime as it approaches its release date in April 2024. Explore the magical world of Yamauchi and the intriguing Yatagarasu as they embark on an animated journey filled with fantasy and adventure.
