The two-part special that concluded Attack on Titan Final Season and the entire anime adaptation in 2023 has been re-edited into a single movie titled Attack on Titan The Movie: The Last Attack. This movie is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on November 8, 2024, and will have a runtime of 145 minutes, matching the length of Crunchyroll’s Blu-ray and DVD release of Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters.
In addition to combining the two parts into one film, The Last Attack will feature enhanced 5.1 channel audio and updated cuts. The movie’s theme song is Linked Horizon’s “Nisen-nen… Moshikuha… Niman-nen Ato no Kimi e…,” which was originally used in Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters Part 2.
Attack on Titan Final Season began airing in late 2020 and continued through multiple parts, with the first concluding in early 2021 and the second in early 2022. The Final Chapters Part 1 premiered in March 2023, followed by Part 2 in November 2023.
The anime, based on Hajime Isayama’s manga, originally aired in 2013 under WIT STUDIO, with MAPPA taking over for the final season. The manga itself ran from 2009 to 2021, totaling 34 volumes. The Attack on Titan franchise includes spinoff manga, novels, games, and a two-part live-action film series, making it a significant cultural phenomenon in both Japan and internationally.
