MAPPA Studio has announced the release of Attack on Titan: The Last Attack, a 145-minute film set to hit Japanese theaters this winter. This film will merge both parts of Attack on Titan Final Season: The Final Chapters into one epic anime. A teaser trailer has already been released, building anticipation among fans.

Directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, the movie has been crafted with the intention of being experienced as a single feature. Hayashi expressed his excitement about bringing the story to theaters, saying that it’s a dream come true to have audiences watch it in the best possible setting. The visuals have also been enhanced specifically for this theatrical release.
The film will include the song “To You, 2,000… or 20,000 Years From Now…” by Linked Horizon, which ties directly into the story’s theme. Additionally, the sound has been upgraded to a 5.1 surround sound format for a more immersive experience.
The highly anticipated film will premiere in Japan on November 8, 2024. Based on Hajime Isayama’s wildly successful manga series, Attack on Titan first began streaming in 2013 by WIT Studio before MAPPA took over production for season 4. The series has also seen live-action adaptations, with a Japanese film released in 2015 and a Hollywood version in development. Isayama’s manga has sold over 140 million copies worldwide, and fans are eagerly awaiting this new film, hoping it will make a strong impact at the box office.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming Part 1 of the anime, which follows Eren as he unleashes the full power of the Titans in his quest to destroy all threats to Eldia. His former comrades and even enemies must now unite to stop him, raising the question: can they succeed in halting his destructive path?
