The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced that the highly anticipated Monopoly: Bangkok Edition will officially launch on November 2. The exciting launch event will take place at Central World, followed by an exclusive after-party at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok.

TAT Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Monopoly: Bangkok Edition is an exciting collaboration that showcases the unique charm of our vibrant capital city. This edition highlights Bangkok’s cultural landmarks, bustling street markets, and luxury hotels. I am proud to see the city captured through one of the world’s most iconic games.”
Created by Winning Moves UK, under license from Hasbro and in partnership with TAT, Monopoly: Bangkok Edition introduces six brand-new tokens inspired by the city:
- Mango Sticky Rice: A tribute to Thailand’s beloved dessert, reflecting Bangkok’s culinary scene.
- Muay Thai Boxing Gloves: Celebrating Thailand’s national sport and its renowned martial arts.
- A Suitcase: Symbolizing adventure and discovery in Bangkok.
- A Moped: A nod to the city’s fast-paced, dynamic streets.
- A Backpack: Highlighting the appeal of Bangkok’s hidden gems for backpackers.
- Tuk-Tuk: Honoring the vibrant, colorful tuk-tuks that zip through the city.
At the launch event, guests can be among the first to see the game, explore, and purchase the Monopoly: Bangkok Edition, with opportunities to win prizes and take photos with Mr. Monopoly. This edition marks the third in the Thailand series, following the Chiang Mai edition (2023) and Phuket edition (2022). The game will also be available at Asia Books locations and retail partners.
