ATLUS and SEGA have dropped a fresh trailer and new details for Persona 5: The Phantom X, the latest installment in the Persona 5 series. The biggest news? The English version will launch globally on June 26, 2025, the same day as Japan.

Developer Showcase

The announcement came via a special program hosted by freelance announcer Neki Matsuzawa. The show featured developers and voice actors including:

Persona 5: The Phantom X Gets New Trailer, English Release Set for June 26, 2025

  • Kaede Hondo (Motoha Arai)

  • Chika Anzai (Yui)

  • Yohsuke Uda (ATLUS), Chief Producer

  • Yusuke Nitta (ATLUS), Development Director

  • Jun Matsunaga (SEGA), Development Producer

  • Yuta Sakai (SEGA), Live Ops Director

Global Launch and Platforms

The game will release simultaneously worldwide due to strong fan demand. Joking about the importance of this, Nitta said, “If we didn’t do a simultaneous release, there would be riots.” Sakai added that the global launch helps avoid spoilers and creates a shared experience.

Pre-registrations are now open for iOS, Android, and PC (Steam). The game also supports cross-platform play, letting users play with a single account on all devices.

New Gameplay Feature: Club Activities

For the first time in the Persona series, players can take part in club activities such as music and soccer. These additions expand the school life aspect of the game, while familiar features like part-time jobs and socializing remain intact.

Development and Quality Focus

The game is co-developed by ATLUS, SEGA, and Perfect World. Despite challenges, this collaboration allowed the teams to combine their strengths. Matsunaga highlighted that creating a live service game with console-quality storytelling was tough, but fans won’t be disappointed.
