Pokémon GO has announced a new Global Challenge titled “Might and Mastery Finale: Strength in Numbers.” The event will run from Tuesday, May 20 at 12 am PT to Thursday, May 22 at 12 pm PT. As part of the ongoing Might and Mastery season, this challenge encourages players to unite by sending gifts to each other.
To make participation easier, Niantic has increased the daily gift-sending limit to 50. If players meet thecollective goal, they will unlock a special reward: the ability to send free Special Research tickets for the May 2025 Community Day Classic featuring Machop.
These tickets will be available in the in-game shop from Friday, May 23 at 10 am until Saturday, May 24 at 5 pm local time. Players can gift up to 20 tickets per day, but only to friends with whom they have reached at least the Great Friends level. Completing the Special Research will reward players with a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, extra Machop encounters, and three Machop featuring a Seasonal Special Background.
The Community Day Classic itself will take place on Saturday, May 24, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. During this window, Machop will appear more frequently in the wild. Trainers who evolve Machop into Machoke during the event will get a Machoke that knows the Charged Attack Payback. Additional bonuses include triple Stardust for catching Pokémon and longer-lasting Lure Modules.
This Global Challenge continues to build community spirit while offering fun rewards for active players.
