Developer Don’t Nod of Life is Strange created the contemplative climbing experience called Jusant. The video game, first unveiled at Summer Game Fest, follows an unnamed protagonist and his adorable water-like companion as they attempt to ascend a towering peak. To surmount ever-shifting surfaces and obstacles, players must skilfully use a rope to extend their reach and control each character’s arms in a game that faithfully reproduces true climbing and physics. As you journey, you’ll explore the remnants of a vanished civilization that once inhabited the mountain. How did these people meet their fate? What challenges await our hero at the summit? Jusant invites you to don your climbing gear and uncover the answers.
Editors Marcus Stewart and Kyle Hilliard invite you to join them as they delve into a portion of Jusant’s early chapters, providing a firsthand account of this mysterious journey. Jusant is set to be available on October 31.
