The upcoming mid-set update for Teamfight Tactics (TFT), Set 9.5 titled “Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound,” brings significant changes to the game. Riot Games has not only introduced new champion units and traits but is also committed to improving the overall quality of life in TFT.

One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of a new item class known as “support items.” In TFT, items are crucial for enhancing champion units’ power, but certain support-oriented items like Zephyr and Zeke’s Herald were less appealing in the early game. To address this, Riot Games has created a new “uncraftable category” called Support Items.

Support Items in TFT Set 9.5 are designed to provide teamwide support and non-selfish benefits. These items include old favorites like Shroud of Stillness and Locket of the Iron Solari, as well as some new additions. Notably, all support items will provide a uniform 250 Health, making them more powerful than their core item counterparts. Additionally, items like Shroud of Stillness and Zephyr can no longer be equipped during combat starting with Horizonbound.

The Support Items category includes various items such as Aegis of the Legion, Banshee’s Veil, Chalice of Harmony, Locket of the Iron Solari, and more. These items aim to offer utility and teamwide power, enhancing strategic diversity in TFT gameplay.

TFT Set 9.5 is set to release with Patch 13.18 on September 13th, bringing not only support items but also new vertical traits for Bilgewater and Ixtal, promising an exciting and refreshing TFT experience for players.
