In the perilous world of Starfield, players face the daunting challenge of tackling the Hostile Intelligence quest, which thrusts them into the heart of a horrific Terrormorph outbreak in Londinion, one of the Settled Systems’ most devastated regions. This quest, part of the UC Vanguard questline, promises high stakes and valuable rewards for those brave enough to take it on.

Here’s a comprehensive guide to navigating the treacherous waters of Hostile Intelligence and emerging victorious.

The journey commences after players successfully rescue Kaiser during the War Relics quest. Following a conversation with Hadrian at the Red Devils HQ, players receive their marching orders: to venture into Londinion, a site marked by one of the most catastrophic Terrormorph attacks in UC history. Fortunately, a detachment of UC troops is already stationed there, providing some semblance of support.

Quest Objectives:

  1. Report to Commander Hatoum at Forward Base 411 on Toliman II.
  2. (OPTIONAL) Gear up at the armory.
  3. Clear the Processing Plant.
  4. Gather Acele samples.
  5. Reach the spaceport via the steam tunnels.
  6. Eliminate the Terrormorph in the steam tunnels and obtain its sample.
  7. Confront and defeat the formidable Terrormorph Anomaly in the spaceport, securing its sample.
  8. Discuss all findings with the team.

Hostile Intelligence unfolds as a fairly straightforward quest, with each objective clearly marked by quest indicators. The game’s linear map design ensures players stay on track. However, preparation is key, and before delving into the Processing Plant, a visit to the armory is highly recommended. Here, players can acquire the UC Antixeno Spacesuit, specially designed to defend against alien threats, along with a wealth of additional weaponry and supplies.

The battles that lie ahead involve confronting Terrormorphs and the creatures under their control. Terrormorphs are formidable foes, but they exhibit vulnerability to Energy and Explosive damage. Weapons like lasers or particle-based arms equipped with incendiary rounds can deliver sustained damage, while land mines prove highly effective against these adversaries.

The most challenging showdown awaits at the spaceport, where players face off against the formidable Terrormorph Anomaly. This creature stands out for its substantial size, durability, and the ability to summon more alien reinforcements into the fray. To prepare for this encounter, players should strategically place land mines near the quest marker to inflict significant damage on the giant alien before the battle even commences.

Utilizing the Anti-Gravity Field power is advantageous here, as it can suspend multiple incoming aliens simultaneously, granting players some respite while they concentrate their firepower on the colossal Terrormorph. With the beast defeated, return to Forward Base 441 to debrief the team, setting the stage for the final chapter in the UC Vanguard questline.

Embarking on the Hostile Intelligence quest is a daring endeavor, but it offers substantial rewards, both in terms of gear and narrative progression. Players who successfully navigate this trial will be one step closer to unraveling the mysteries of the Terrormorphs and securing the fate of the Settled Systems.
