In a testament to their creative prowess, a resourceful Starfield player has astounded the gaming community by faithfully recreating the iconic flying taxi from the renowned sci-fi film “The Fifth Element.” Bethesda’s latest RPG, Starfield, provides players with extensive ship-building tools, and this achievement not only showcases the game’s versatility but also pays homage to Luc Besson’s enigmatic classic from 1997.

While Starfield draws inspiration from hard sci-fi sources and offers comprehensive ship construction mechanics, it has become a hub for science fiction enthusiasts to recreate famous spacecraft. Although franchises like Star Wars and Star Trek have undoubtedly influenced numerous community creations, other science fiction works are also inspiring impressive spaceship designs.

Reddit user RADiCALRUX has managed to craft an authentic representation of the flying taxi featured in “The Fifth Element.” The futuristic New York City cab, piloted by Bruce Willis’s character Korben Dallas, is instantly recognizable, and this Starfield rendition remarkably captures its distinctive retro-futuristic aesthetic.

What sets this achievement apart is that Starfield’s ship builder doesn’t typically allow players to construct vehicles the size of actual cars. Therefore, the recreation had to be considerably larger than the original cab. To meet this challenge, the creator designed an enormous spacecraft spanning four floors, approximately 80 feet in length. While the replica closely resembles the iconic taxi, it creatively places the pressurized entrance atop some amenities within the driver’s cabin. The true cockpit is situated just above the recreated bumper, between where the headlights would be.

This homage to “The Fifth Element” joins a growing list of remarkable creations by the Starfield community. These include a Star Wars Naboo N-1 starfighter, various Batmobile-inspired flying vehicles, and even spacecraft inspired by the Pokémon universe. The gaming community continues to push the boundaries of creativity within the Starfield universe, celebrating the game’s rich possibilities.

In summary, the recreation of the flying taxi from “The Fifth Element” in Starfield stands as a testament to the game’s flexibility and the enduring influence of iconic science fiction works on gaming culture.
