“Super Mario Bros. Wonder Unveils Innovative Badge System, Transforming Gameplay”

Within the badges menu, gamers will encounter various badge types, categorized by colors like orange, blue, and yellow. While details about 11 badges have been revealed, the game holds 13 more as hidden surprises. Here’s a glimpse of some badge capabilities:

  • Parachute Cap: Glide gracefully by opening your cap.
  • Wall-Climb Jump: Execute wall jumps with the B button for higher reach.
  • Dolphin Kick: Enhance underwater speed and block destruction.
  • Timed High Jump: Master consecutive jumps for increased elevation.
  • Crouching High Jump: Reach greater heights by crouching before leaping.
  • Floating High Jump: Gain a floating effect after jumping higher than usual.
  • Grappling Vine: Shoot wall-sticking vines mid-air for mobility.
  • Safety Bounce: Gracefully recover from hazardous drops, like lava dives.
  • Sensor: Locate essential items to aid your adventure.
  • Coin Magnet: Attract coins effortlessly during your progress.
  • Invisibility: Turn invisible to outmaneuver obstacles and foes.
  • Jet Run: Obtain a permanent dash ability for swift movement.

Players can acquire badges by completing in-game challenges or purchase them at Poplin Shops on the world map, using flower coins collected in levels. As the game’s release nears, anticipation grows for the discovery of the remaining 13 badges and their potential impact on gameplay. Speedrunners are expected to explore creative ways to utilize these abilities to set new records.

In addition to the badge system, Super Mario Bros. Wonder signifies a significant departure from the ‘New’ style that has defined the series since the DS era. Furthermore, it introduces Daisy as a playable character in the mainline series, a highly-anticipated addition that has excited fans since its announcement. With the game’s launch on the horizon, players eagerly await the new era it promises to usher in.
