Baldur’s Gate 3 enthusiasts have a reason to celebrate with the release of Patch 3 by developer Larian Studios. In addition to significant performance enhancements, particularly for Act 3, the update introduces the highly anticipated Magic Mirror, offering players the opportunity to revamp their in-game character’s appearance.

Larian Studios took to Twitter to announce the update, stating: “Patch 3 brings the Magic Mirror to your camp, allowing you to modify your Tav’s appearance at will! You can change appearance, voice, pronouns, but race & body type remain unchanged. Origins can’t be altered – they have strong opinions about their hair.”
Conveniently located in the player’s Camp, the Magic Mirror provides easy access for players looking to alter their character’s appearance. However, this customization is not all-encompassing. While players can make changes to certain aspects of their character, there are limitations.

This addition acknowledges the evolving nature of role-playing games and the desire for personal expression within these expansive virtual worlds. With such extensive customization options now available, players can further immerse themselves in the Baldur’s Gate universe, adjusting their character’s look to suit changing moods or playstyles.
While we eagerly anticipate more detailed insights once Patch 3 is fully deployed, players already have cause for celebration. In addition to the PC platform, Baldur’s Gate 3 is accessible on PS5, and its arrival on Xbox Series X/S is expected later this year, between September and November.
