For gamers eagerly anticipating a return to the zany universe of “High on Life,” there’s thrilling news. The game’s first DLC, titled “High on Knife,” is scheduled for release on October 3rd, just in time for the spooky season.
“High on Knife” will be available on multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It’s worth noting that “High on Life” lost its Xbox console exclusivity when it unexpectedly launched on PS4 and PS5 in July. This upcoming expansion takes a horror-inspired turn, embracing elements of body horror to provide players with a unique gaming experience. While the price tag for the DLC remains undisclosed, the development team has assured players that it will introduce a substantial amount of new content. This includes a staggering 52 new characters, in addition to the beloved characters from the base game, such as Knifey, Gene, and the trio of guns.

“High on Knife” also introduces two new characters in the form of talking guns. Meet Harper, an ex-military pistol grappling with a traumatic past, voiced by Sarah Sherman. Then there’s B.A.L.L., a pinball-inspired gun operated by a coordinated group of diminutive individuals, adding an amusing twist to the gameplay. Furthermore, Gabourey Sidibe, an Oscar-nominated actress, joins the cast to voice the enigmatic new villain, Mux.
“High on Life” enjoyed tremendous success following its release in December, becoming the standout hit on Xbox Game Pass in 2022 and the largest single-player launch on Game Pass to date.
