How to Complete Run This Town in Phantom Liberty

Mr. Hands has a plan to fill the void left by Hansen’s absence, proposing his former lieutenant, Chester Bennett, as the suitable candidate. However, another key figure in Hansen’s inner circle, the accountant Jago, also aspires to seize control. Your mission is twofold: persuade Jago to step down and ensure a smooth transfer of power.

  1. Meeting Jago:
  • The mission begins with a clandestine meeting between Jago and the Voodoo Boys. You have two potential outcomes for this encounter:
    • If you possess 20 ranks in the Cool Attribute, you can use a Cool dialog option to intimidate or convince the Voodoo Boys to abandon their arrangement with Jago without resorting to violence.
    • In the absence of the Cool option, or if you previously eliminated the Voodoo Boys, you can confront Jago directly. If your Body stat is insufficient for a peaceful resolution, you may need to engage in combat, which could lead to Jago’s death.

2. Confronting Jago:

  • Regardless of how your conversation with Jago unfolds, he will divulge critical information about Bennett’s association with Arasaka. You have a choice to make next:
    • Contact Mr. Hands immediately.
    • Meet with Bennett after his meeting with the Arasaka representative.

3. Separating Bennett from Arasaka:

  • Opting to meet Bennett offers a favorable outcome. Following the elimination of his chauffeur and concealing the body, join Bennett in his car. During the conversation, convince him to relinquish his ties with Arasaka by selecting the dialog option that reassures him about Jago’s compliance.

4. Hansen’s Wake:

  • Proceed to Hansen’s wake at the Black Sapphire, where you will assume the disguise of the infamous Cuban assassin, Aguilar. Here, during the meeting with Bennett and Jago, you must choose the most suitable dialog option:
    • “A fair price, Jago. One you will pay.” fosters a partnership based on mutual interest.
    • “No. You do not get a new toy, Bennett.” results in a less favorable outcome, as Bennett reacts aggressively, reducing your reward.
    • “Show your weapon | You would plunge Dogtown into chaos?” yields a similar result to the first option but may lead to complications in the future.

5. Mission Resolution:

  • Depending on your choices throughout the mission, you will witness different outcomes, including the ascension of Jago or Bennett to a position of power. Mr. Hands will express his approval or disapproval, impacting your final reward.

By successfully navigating the twists and turns of Run This Town, you play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Dogtown. Remember to be cautious about the reward chest near the Black Sapphire’s entrance, as it may have issues with item retention. Ensure to check patch notes for any related bug fixes.
