With the introduction of the 2.0 update in Cyberpunk 2077, respeccing your character’s perks and attributes has become more accessible than ever. You no longer need the Tabula E-Rasa or a ripperdoc, and it’s free of charge. This guide will walk you through the steps to respec both your attributes and perks in Cyberpunk 2077 after the 2.0 update.

A significant improvement in the 2.0 update is the ability to reset your attribute points without any cost. However, there’s a catch: you can only do this once, so use it wisely. Whether you’re playing an older save or Phantom Liberty content, this opportunity is available to you.

  1. Open your Character menu.
  2. At the bottom left of the screen, you’ll find the “Reset Attributes” button.
  3. Click this button to completely reset your attribute allocations, allowing you to redistribute them according to your preference.

The 2.0 update also simplifies the process of reallocating perks, making it a more flexible and user-friendly experience. You can now dynamically remove and apply perks without any hassle, giving you the freedom to experiment and fine-tune your character’s build.

To respec perks:

  1. Open your Perk menu.
  2. Select a perk that you wish to remove.
  3. Look for the “Refund” button, which varies depending on your control scheme:
    • On Xbox, use the Y button.
    • On PlayStation, press the Triangle button.
    • On keyboard and mouse, utilize the middle mouse button.
  4. Click the “Refund” button for the selected perk. You may need to unequip certain cyberware associated with the perk.

Keep in mind that you’ll need to work through your perks from top to bottom when respeccing them.

This streamlined process for respeccing attributes and perks in Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty expansion has made character customization more convenient for players. Take advantage of this newfound flexibility to optimize your character’s abilities and adapt to different challenges in Night City.
